RULES:| QUOTE | Ok, I am posting the thread for the rules so some of the newer posters and draft virgins will know whats going on.
THIS THREAD IS FOR MY RULES, DISCUSSION AND SIGN UPS ONLY - THERE WILL BE ANOTHER THREAD FOR DRAFT PICKS ONLY
RULES:
--You sign up and are randomly paired with another member. You then think up a Team Name (required) and try to PM each other a game plan. You then draft a roster, any member of the team can make the picks. So if you may be gone, let your team member know what to do or they will go on with out you!
--Your roster will consist of 20 Drafted picks. The draft itself works just like the NFL, MLB, etc draft. Each team will select one pick per round. At the end of the draft, there will be a tournament in which you are expected to make a card with your picks only.
--The Draft order will go from 1-16, and then from 16-1, and so on. So, the number 1 pick, or the first pick of the draft will have the 16th pick in the 2nd round and so on. In layman's terms:
First Rd:
Team 1- Team 14
2nd Rd:
Team 14- Team 1
3rd Rd:
1-14
4th Rd:
14-1 etc.....
--ANY WRESTLER EVER TO LACE UP A PAIR OF BOOTS IS ALLOWED. MALE, FEMALE, MIDGETS, MANAGERS, ETC. BUT NO CELEBRITIES OR OUTSIDE ATHLETES THAT WRESTLED ONLY A FEW MATCHES. SO NO ALI, MR. T, KEVIN GREENE, JAY LENO, ETC.
TAG TEAMS:
--This has been a constant unwritten rule, but for the newbies here it is. If someone selects say Hawk of the Road Warriors, in due respect, nobody selects his tag team partner, ala Animal. If someone selects Ricky Morton, nobody selects Robert Gibson, only the person (team) who originally selected their partner. But keep in mind, tag teams aren't single picks, you have to select them in seperate rounds.
--However, say someone selects Bobby Eaton. Now, with Eaton it is different. He was a constant among the tag team ranks. Had many different partners. So Stan Lane, Dennis Condrey, Wiiliam Regal, Arn Anderson, etc are open to anyone. Same with Bret Hart. Shawn Michaels, etc that had more reknown singles careers. Hope that clarifies tag teams.
MISSING PICKS:
--All teams will have a 24 hour window to select their picks per round. The norm had been 18 hours before, so I'm upping the time limit to 24 to give added time. You don't have to wait 23 hours to make your pick, please make your picks ASAP. If you will be gone, and your team mate can't post picks - leave them with HEY YO. I will make them for you.
-- Almost all of us at some point has missed a pick, and held the draft up, this year I am implementing a new rule for missed picks.
--IF YOU MISS YOUR TURN, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE UP YOUR PICK UNTIL THE NEXT TIME YOUR PICK COMES AROUND. Before you could just log back on and make your missed pick at any time. Not this time. If you know you and your partner are going to be gone, please try and forward your selection to another team to make the pick for you. Now, if an emergency arises this is different. If something happens (death in family, illness, computer blows up, etc), you may PM me the circumstance, and you MAY at our discretion make your make-up pick as soon as you log back on.
--If you miss your pick you will also be PM'd photos of Wayne Newton by all other posters in the draft. Yes this is your punishment.
--If you miss three picks in this draft, you will be DQ'd. This is a team effort as well, two people should be able to get one pick in. If a team misses three picks, after the third their roster will be given to another team or eliminated.
--DISRESPECT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!! If anyone intentionally is making fun of, harassing, or trying to play mod other than us Mods, you will be disqualified with no warning. Now, having fun and doing "shoots" are fine. We all bash each other and have fun making promos, which is fine, but if you sense someone isn't liking what you are doing, stop it.
--You DO NOT have to select a manager. In some past draft you had to select at least one manager, this time around don't worry about it. That is entirely up to you.
--NEW OPTION: 21st Round
After the draft is over. You will have the option to trade 1 of your draft picks to another team. Trades are only allowed with the agreement of who you are trading with. You cannot just trade Jerry Blackwell to another team for Steve Austin. Both teams must agree on the trade. However, all trades will not have the 24 hour window. I will give 48 hours for all trades to take place.
--When making picks please list your team name in the draft selection.
Example:
Team Badassery Inc. selects Ric Flair.
--When choosing your picks, if someone chooses Mick Foley or anyone else who has used more than one gimmick, nobody may select their other gimmicks. So if some selects Foley, nobody else may select Cactus Jack. Also, you are allowed to use any gimmick your selected wrestler ever used.

YOUR CARDS: some new rules!
--After the draft is over, you and your partner will be expected to put together a card once the bracket is posted for the tournament. You have to use a different card for every round you are involved in.
--6-9 matches per card.
--You may have 3 gimmick matches per round. 1 more than the norm.
NEW RULE:
--BUT......you MAY NOT use a gimmick match more than one time during the entire tournament. So if you use a Hell in the Cell match in the first round you may not use it later if you advance. NO MATTER WHO IS INVOLVED WITH THE MATCH!
--Gimmick matches are pertained to anything that has a prop (Cage, Ladder, Stretcher, pole, etc) within the match, or no rules or set rules (Hardcore, Submission, No DQ, Last Man Standing, etc.). Triple Threat, Fatal Fourways, 6 man tags, etc. are not gimmick matches.
--No two competitors may face each other more than one time in singles competition. Tag Teams may not face each other more than once in singles competition. So if you have Austin vs Hogan in the first round, you cannot use that match again in the tournament.
--But, if say you have Steve Austin face Hulk Hogan in a singles match in the first round, you may have them involved against/with each other in tag team, triple threat, etc matches later on. Same with tag teams.
--You do not have to use a gimmick match on your card if you do not want to.
--NO CARDS MAY BE TOURNAMENT! YOU KNOW LIKE AT WRESTLEMANIA 4. NO, NONE, YES ITS BADASS AND SHIT BUT NO.
--MOST IMPORTANTLY - HAVE FUN!!! THIS DRAFT IS A GOOD WAY TO MEET A NEW MEMBER AND EXCHANGE WRESTLING IDEAS AND BUILD OFF YOUR COMMON INTERESTS. ROLL WITH IT! :rock: |

Gimmick matches are anything involving special stipulations to get the win or involving materials, such as Iron Man, Submission, HIAC, Cage, Ladder, etc.
Mask vs Mask are gimmick matches because of the stipulation.
Matches such as handicap, triple threat, fatal four way, etc. are not gimmick matches due to them just involving wrestlers with most likely normal rules. Now if it is a Triple Threat Ladder match, then it is a gimmick.
You can use a cage and HIAC on the same card (although I wouldn't), due to them being different type of cage matches. And you may also use a cage match in round one, and in later rounds use a HIAC because they are different. But, you cannot use a cage match more than once. Same for HIAC, WAR GAmes and so on be it on the same card or in later rounds.
3 Stages in Hell is a certain type of gimmick match. You cannot use it again in later rounds with different match types because you are still using a 3 Stage of Hell format. |

I'll be honest, there's tons of experience in this draft. Even PepsiBoy is one to watch out for these days after improving more and more every draft.
I see Rukus and Macho are in, two more guys that would be great to team with.
I'm expecting to see Sasso, Aussie, Oscar, Packer, Slain, HitmanHBK and Hollywood in this sucker.
