A Bit Early Would You Not Say?

I went for a walk this evening. I saw nothing out of the usual except one house with Christmas lights hanging and lit. It was a very simple design with white lights hanging from the eaves of the roof, but it is the beginning of November. Is anybody else seeing this? When would you say is the proper time to begin hanging lights and setting up displays?

I don't know what the right time is persay but in shopping malls over here they already have tinsel and trees all over, stores are filled with christmas items, even those chocolate calendars for kids where they pop out one piece a day counting down to christmas.

Me I don't put any decorations up until the beginning of December.

stores here actually had christmas stuff out the first week of october.....its pathetic

im actually surprised walmart doesnt have a year round christmas area in their stores.

Same here, packer. I find it easier to buy stuff earlier rather than the last minute rush. Then again, I'm more of a planner than just going out to do something.

I've been surprised this year, only yesterday did I hear the first xmas themed department store commercial. Usually it starts way earlier.
